Events - Carnivals and Sport

At Leinster Community School, we place a strong importance on encouraging students to lead a healthy and active lifestyle. As a result, we deliver a whole school Morning Fitness program, provide Swimming and Athletics Canivals and hold a Cross Country event in addition to our regular Health and Physical Education program. We also host an Interschool Swimming Carnival each year as well as participate in the Interschool Athletics Carnival in Leonora. This year we were proud to be able to offer participation in the Leonora carnival to all Year 2-11 students as well as medal recipients from Pre Primary and Year 1 following feedback from parents and our students. We also offer a week of Swimming Lessons to our Pre Primary to Year 11 students as delivered by Vacswim staff from the Department of Education. Our Kindy students will also participate in three days of Swimming Lessons during Term 4 this year. We are also partnering with our local Cricket Australia representative in Term 4 to deliver a 20-20 Cricket opportunity to our students. In addition to this, we provide a Bike Safety Day each year to our students and this will occur in Term 4 this year.
