An eventful Science Week

August 23, 2024-School News

This year, we hosted a series of exciting lunchtime events to celebrate National Science Week, all centred around the theme of Species Survival. The first event kicked off with students designing parachutes to safely land eggs, simulating the importance of protection in nature. The next day, students explored the microscopic world, uncovering the hidden details of life that are vital for species to thrive. Midweek, our young scientists tested water quality, learning about the impact of clean water on ecosystems. The week wrapped up with a hands-on workshop where students created beeswax wraps, connecting to sustainable practices that support species survival. Students from multiple year levels eagerly participated, with many returning each day for more. The enthusiasm and curiosity shown by our students made this National Science Week one to remember!
