What is the purpose of Positive Behaviour Support? (PBS)
PBS provides the framework for enhancing, adopting and implementing a continuum of evidence based interventions to achieve Academic, Social, Emotional and Behavioural important outcomes for all students.
Leinster Community Schools expectations are Success, Teamwork, Acceptance and Resilience (STAR) with a term dedicated to each teaching value.
Restorative Practices
Leinster Community Schools focuses on Restorative Practice in conjunction with Positive Behaviour Support. Restorative practice is an alternative to adversarial methods. It focuses on repairing the harm and restoring relationships. All parties have an input and it encourages students to take responsibility for their actions.
