Early Learning

The aim of the Kindergarten program at Leinster Community School is for each child to develop appropriate social skills to ensure that their intellectual, emotional and creative needs are met. Positive attitudes and competencies in pre-literacy and pre-numeracy are essential for children’s successful learning. Staff are guided by the Kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines which encompasses the Early Years Learning Framework and the NQS as to the high-quality program delivered.

The foundations for these are built in early childhood through intentional and purposeful learning activities. The early childhood years should be an exciting event in children’s lives. They are at a stage in their development during which they rapidly expand their interests, abilities and knowledge. It is a stage when they become social beings. It is at this stage that they are curious and thrive on learning new things.

Emergency Contacts
